"Remain vigilant to handle any circumstance," Amit Shah advises ten border states following Operation Sindoor

NEW DELHI: Following India's precision strikes on nine terror targets across the border, Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting with the chief ministers, chief secretaries, and police chiefs of ten states and union territories that share borders with Pakistan and Nepal on Wednesday. He asked them to prepare for seamless operations of essential services, remain vigilant to handle any situation, and maintain a strict vigil on anti-national agenda.

Chief ministers, police chiefs, and chief secretaries from Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, and West Bengal participated in the video conference. Senior home ministry officials, including Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Tapan Deka, Director General Daljit Singh Chawdhary of the Border Security Force (BSF), and Chief of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), RS Bhatti, were also present, along with Lieutenant Governors of the union territories of J&K and Ladakh.

The ministry of home affairs said in a statement that the CMs and LGs commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the military for Operation Sindoor's success.
