Amidst the cash discovery dispute, the SC collegium suggests returning Justice Yashwant Varma to the Allahabad High Court

A resolution by the Supreme Court Collegium suggests that Justice Yashwant Varma, a judge in the Delhi High Court, be returned to his parent court, the Allahabad High Court.

This ruling, which was rendered on March 20 and 24, coincides with an ongoing investigation into claims involving a sizable sum of money discovered at Justice Varma's home in Delhi.

The transfer of Justice Yashwant Varma was fiercely contested by the Allahabad High Court Bar Association (HCBA), which questioned whether the Allahabad high court was being used as a "dumping ground."
