Prime minister Narendra Modi reached out to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath thrice to monitor the aftermath of a stampede-like situation that broke out at in Prayagraj on Wednesday, amid the celebration of the Mauni Amavasya at the Mahakumbh Mela, reported ANI.

PM Modi reviewed the developments in the situation and called for immediate support measures.

The PM is constantly monitoring the situation and has been involved in providing instructions for normalisation and relief in the situation.
