"We anticipate...": India on the Khalistani extremists' security breach during Jaishankar's trip to London

A security breach that happened during External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's official visit to the UK on Thursday caused India to express grave alarm. In front of the minister's motorcade, a pro-Khalistan extremist broke through the security barriers and tore the Indian flag. Since it was caught on camera, the act has gone viral on the internet.

The extremist group's acts were sharply denounced by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). "We have seen the footage of a breach of security during the visit of the External Affairs Minister to the UK," the statement read. "We condemn the provocative activities of this small group of separatists and extremists."

India also condemned these forces' abuse of democratic liberties, emphasizing how they go against the spirit of nonviolent dialogue. "We condemn such elements' abuse of democratic liberties. In these situations, we anticipate that the host government would fulfill its diplomatic responsibilities," MEA continued.
