IIT Madras and the Indian Navy sign an MOU to improve their cooperation in research and technology

On October 7, the Indian Navy and the Indian Institute of technologies Madras (IIT Madras) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together on innovative engineering solutions, ocean structures, and naval technologies. This historic collaboration demonstrated both organizations' dedication to developing domestic capabilities for the country's maritime might.

In front of Vice Admiral D Goswami, Director General of Naval Projects, Prof. V Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, and senior faculty members from the Department of Ocean Engineering, Brigadier Rajesh Karel, Senior DDG & Chief Engineer, DGNP, Mumbai, and Prof. Ashwin Mahalingam, Dean i/c, Industrial Consultancy & Sponsored Research, IIT Madras, signed the Memorandum of Understanding at IIT Madras.

Speaking during the event, Prof. V Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras, stated: "IIT Madras has always been at the forefront of using cutting-edge research and technological innovations to contribute to our nation's needs." This partnership with the Indian Navy represents a major advancement in showcasing our capabilities and dedication.
